Chaos Rising New Units [DoW 2]
Can't really wait for Warhammer 40.000 Dawn Of War 2: Chaos Rising to come out. Even though i suck at RTS i found the Last Stand gamemode really fun, and the expansion is gonna bring the Lictor as playable character. Finally.

Confogl, a L4D2 competitive server config
Well known US player Surgica1 grouped up with philogl to release a frustian's like server config for L4D2.
I've later become involved in the project by packaging and releasing a couple of version with bugfixes, updates and such.
I've also managed to set up the official google code page where the project is located, so if you want to know more about it just click the link above.
The main object of the config is to balance the game by removing medkits, defibs, special ammo types, reducing the ammounts of item spawns and so on. There are also reduced spawn timers and for all the hardcore l4d2 players, there's an additional "special infected buffs" config that you can enable, which improves some of the abilities of the infected.
Even though there has been some discussion about the actual need of the additional SI improvements, i would reccomend everybody to test out the changes before expressing their opinion.
Many of the teams i've played against were happy with the changes added to the game and it seems like confogl is being accepted well by the community.
I've added the config to all of our servers, and it's reloading automatically, so if you want to try it out without installing it first on your dedicated nest go ahead and use one of these servers :)
Last but not least, the config has a dedicated steam group, which i encourage all of you to join to get updates and to eventually find pcws with people that want to play with the config.

The achievements
Well, i wanted to Post all Archivements in a cool Table on our News Page, but i was in a way to lazy. I hope you dont mind and here you have!
They added some new Stuff to get Archivement like kill the Tank with a melee weapon or other "funny" Stuff, but they added old stuff again, like finish the Campaign, Kill XXXX Spitters(e.g.) stuff like that, i guess you know what i want to say. So that was all so far, i hope you enjoyed the News Post.

New L4D2 gameplay modes revealed: scavenge and realism
Scavenge
Finally Valve let the Cat out of the bag, and revealed the fourth Gameplaymode next to the Coop-Campaign, Versus and Survival for Left 4 Dead 2. In Scavenge are playing four Survivors against four Infected and against the Time. The Survivors start near to a Generator and have to search on the Map for gas cans, and have to take them to the Generator, each charge give the Survivors 20 Seconds.

Are all Survivors dead or the time expired, the teams get changed. Winner are who will find more gas cans and took them to the Generator, the Original description of Valve:
Scavenge mode challenges players to compete in round-based games of up to 8 players (Survivors vs. Infected). The Survivors must battle both the Infected and the clock as they collect gas cans to refuel a generator located in each map. Every can the Survivors pour into the generator scores their team a point and adds time to the clock. On defense, the Infected team plays as the boss Infected (including the new Spitter, Jockey, and Charger). They must keep the Survivors from fueling the generator by attacking them, destroying the gas cans, or running out the clock. During a round, each team gets an opportunity to play both sides, with the round going to whichever team successfully delivers the most cans.
The Website 1UP.com released 3 Gameplay-Videos of the New Gameplay-Mode. There some surprises, a Female boomer! In the Third video your able to see a Short Scene from the View of the Specia-Infected: Jockey:

Editors of the GameSite 1UP.com were able to pre-test Left 4 Dead 2, and were allowed to test the new Gameplay-Mode "Scavenge". But that wasn't everything, a journalist discovered in the Settingsmenu the Option "Realsm". Upon addressed, answered Chet Faliszek embarrassed: "That is a special Modifier, that we forgot to hide in the Demo" Valve-PR-Man Doug Lombardi explained, that that is an Option wich is made for "Super-Hardcore-Gamer". As an Example he named Poral: "Our best intern Gamers were able to finish the Game in 30 Minutes, but a few after the Release were Videos on Youtube, where the game got "owned" in 20 Minutes. Realism is for that kind of People. For People who think that Expert-Mode is boring of Left 4 Dead, are able to looking forward for a new challenge. also the Editors of IGN tested the comming Zombie-Shooter by Valve. Some of the Archivements are clearly made for the "Versus-Mode", like you have to make 25 Damage as Hunter with Pounce or hit 20 Survivors with a Car. There are Archivements like kill 5.359 ZOmbies in the Campagin or stop a Tank for a few seconds with an explosion. Crash Course will be released tomorrow. (may at Night or Midnight, we will see)

Like Marketing-chief Doug Lombardi said, that the Second Big DLC (Downloadable Content) for Left 4 Dead "Crash Course", will be release on following Tuesday [29.September.2009]. Some editors of the Gamemagazine PC Games visited Valve a few weeks ago, they were able to test Left 4 Dead 2, they composed a 6-page report. They wrote about whats new, good and not. Besides that they got some new Screenshots and Details of Left 4 Dead 2. Here are now some new Facts about Left 4 Dead 2.
The Faceanimations of the Survivors and Special Infected are supposed to be improved. Besides of the already uncloaked FireMunition shall there be ExplosivMunition, too. And you will be able to share the Munition with Teammates Additionally exist an alternativ to aspirin (Pills), a Adrenalinsyringe, wich is able to make that the Survivors can run for a few seconds faster. And you can take a defibrillator with you insteat of a Medkit. The Granate-Slot can be filled now withanother usefull extra, its called Boomer-Attractant, with that your able to distract the Zombies. And the Special-Infected of Left 4 Dead got graphically overworked
The conclusion of the Testers are something like:"The new Melee Weapons are a realy big enrichment." Infact i would say by myself the Game will be awesome, the Grafic, Gameplay, etc. But lets still hope that they are really Support Left 4 Dead when Left 4 Dead 2 get released. Might you read, Valve will release the Left 4 Dead 2 Demo soon, well Valve told Shacknews that the Demo will be released on 27.October.2009 but only exclusive for the People who preordered Left 4 Dead or for the People who are going to preorder Left 4 Dead 2, for all who don't preorder Left 4 Dead 2 the demo will be released on 3.November.2009, so you will have 2 Weeks to test Left 4 Dead 2 and to think about "Should i buy it?
